Achievers Step By Step, Inc. was founded in 2004 by Sheila Pryor, who had a desire to make a change today for a better tomorrow by providing various programs that people could benefit from to become empowered, educated and self-sufficient. Ms. Pryor heard a cry out for help within the African-American Community and decided to be a voice for her people. Her passion to help people reach & obtain goals in order to learn & maintain necessary tools for living quality lives has been displayed in her enthusiasm to promote social justice, quality resources, healthy habits, relationship harmony, family unity, public awareness & community involvment. She wants to be apart of the Solution for some of today's problems in our communities. This is the principal reason why Ms. Pryor wanted to start a social assistance organization to assist, help heal, rebuild, motivate & educate those desiring assistance in hopes of improvement. She is dedicated to enhance the quality of life and to meet the varied needs our diverse community through her work at Achievers Step By Step, Inc.
She has volunteered countless hours in the community. She also has served as Pine Lawn Head Start's Chairperson & Policy Council Representative for the YWCA Head Start of St. Louis, PTO President for Pine Lawn Elementary School, Parent Representative for the PCAC & Public Relations committees in the Normandy School District.
Ms. Pryor received an Associates of Arts Degree from Coahmoma Community College in 1998, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Science from Delta State University in 2001 & a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Strayer University in 2005.
